TsumTsum Christmas Wreath ^^

You might have seen our Decora Christmas Trees that we've decorated with TsumTsums - well, Disney Store Japan released a special TsumTsum Christmas Wreath this year and we just had to track one down from a reputable seller! It arrived today and it's super cute:

The wreath itself is a plush, and it has 6 holes filled with the Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Chip and Dale Tsums that come with it. These are all removable, so you could customise which Tsums sit in the wreath if you wanted!  These Tsums are all wearing festive clothing - and as a bonus they are different designs to both the UK/US and Japan normal Christmas Tsums! Chip and Dale in particular look super Kawaii in their snowman suits! ^^

As you'd expect, the wreath and Tsums are the high quality you'll be used to with TsumTsums - the details are adorable, from Donald and Mickey's Santa beards to the bows on Minnie and Daisy's hoods!

Our Decora Christmas Trees!

It's the first Sunday in advent and Christmas has officially arrived in the Life in the Kawaii Lane household!

While we were in Japan we decided that we just had to do a super decora Christmas tree this year, and the best way to achieve that, was to create a TsumTsum Christmas Tree!!! WE LOVE TSUMTSUMS and have grown quite a collection! So after a bit of planning, and purchasing a new white tree and rainbow lights, we put up our main Christmas tree!

There are 6 medium TsumTsums and 40 small Tsum Tsums on our tree! They are dotted all around the tree so that you can even see the kawaiiness from the street:

We searched high and low for a super kawaii tree topper but had no success, so instead we used the 2015 Christmas TsumTsums and stacked them at the top of the tree:

I don't think we could have found a more Kawaii topper!

And here is our super Kawaii TsumTsum tree all lit up in the dark:

KAWAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!! We've even been having people stop in the street to look at it and have had people pay us compliments when they've seen us outside! <3

If you have been reading the blog long enough you will have seen that we have three trees that we put up in our living room (we have a very big room!) and with so many Tsums not making it onto the main tree we just had to use some on one of our smaller trees, so here's our baby TsumTsum tree!

At the bottom of the tree we have put our light up Tsums that we bought from the Entertainer! How cute are their cheeks!!! We used Tink as our fairy:

Shes nestled at the top with Chip and Dale just below her ^^.

Here it is all lit up in the dark:

Our last tree is a teeny pink one. Last year we decorated it with Hello Kitty charms, but to keep up the rainbow decora theme, we've used Pretty Cure Magical Girls!!

How super Kawaii do they look!!! Here it is in the dark:

CUTE!!!!!

We have a few other bits and pieces dotted around the house for Christmas but one new item we have Mr surprised me with! We had been looking for a Kawaii tub to hold sweeties to offer guests over Christmas, so Mr went on the hunt and found this super Kawaii Christmas Stocking Tokyo Disneyland popcorn bucket!

Super cute isn't it!!! It's even got Minnie and Mickey on the lid dressed as gingerbread people! And it lights up!

This is sitting right next to our mini TsumTsum tree and is full of our favourite Christmas chocs!

Mmmmmmm Terry's Chocolate Orange Segments! NOM!!

So that's our 2015 Christmas Trees!! I think we're going to have to plan next year's trees well in advance as I think this year's will be hard to beat!!

Catch you later Kawaiisters!!

Love Live! Nico Special!!

I love Love Live! and my absolute favourite character has to be Nico Yazawa!! (she reminds me of Pinkuiropixie ^^)

Nico-Nico-Nii!!! ^^

It's not easy to come by good Love Live! merchandise in the UK, so when we visited Tokyo I knew I had to make the most of it! I won this kawaii badge in a game center in Shinjuku - they had lots of different Love Live! characters but I was lucky and this Nico badge was quite easy to get! (only 1 attempt!!)

Of course my favourite part of Tokyo, Akihabara, was the ideal place to find all sorts of kawaii Nico character goods!

There were loads of keyrings available, so I made sure to grab them all!! I already knew I was going to have a 'Nico Decora Zip' on my 3DS case and these were perfect!  First up, this μ's crest keyring:

Next was this rubber charm keyring featuring a chibi Nico!

Then there was this cute 'sketch' style one:

Finally a 3D effect one that features Nico in both school uniform and idol outfit:

Of course, that was no where near enough to decorate my 3DS case, so I picked up a few charms to boost the Nico power!!

First up a rubber charm that looks like a chibi-Nico is being picked up! ^^

Next up, Nico in her outfit from "Snow halation"

Then I got a rubber charm of Nico in one of her most famous outfits:

Finally I got this super Kawaii metal charm:

I also got this *huge* strap charm - this will be very helpful in adding the keyrings to my 3DS case!

When I saw these oversized screen cleaner charms I knew I had to get one - Nico's wearing a Kawaii bunny outfit!!

I had seen Love Live! plush graphigs in the game centers, but they were too difficult to win so I'd given up hope... Thankfully a store in Akiba had them available to buy; of course I snapped up a Nico to come back to the UK!

Finally, and after much encouragement from Pinkuiropixie, I got a Nendoroid of Nico for our kawaii figure display in our living room.  I wasn't sure about getting it to start with as Nendoroids are quite pricey - but their quality and detailing is second to none, so we decided we couldn't miss out on grabbing a Nico figure while we were in Akiba.

She comes with some additional parts so you can change her expression and pose! The box features some of the poses you can make:

There's so much kawaii merchandise for Love Live! - whoever your favourite character is, be sure to check shops out, you never know what you'll find!

Asakusa, Sky Tree Solamachi and Akiba!

We had so much planned during our trip to Tokyo there were some times when we hit up lots of fun places in just one day!  One of these days we started by visiting Asakusa - a part of Tokyo known for traditional goods and the super famous Kaminarimon!

Go past the lantern and you'll see a long shopping area (called Nakamise) packed with small shops selling souvenirs, food, clothes and more!

As we browsed the shops we picked up gifts for our family, but we couldn't resist a couple of cute magnets for our collection! We chose a sampuru style bowl (Asakusa is famous for sampuru making) and a super Kawaii little Rikishi! ^^

That Ebi Tempura looks almost good enough to eat! ^^

Mr also picked up a cute charm of Stitch with the Sky Tree (as Asakusa is so close to the Sky Tree you can get lots of souvenirs in Nakamise!):

Mr took the opportunity to try out a traditional Japanese treat, a filled fritter.  Mr opted for the custard filling (less traditional!) - it was freshly made and delicious!

After visiting the shops on Nakamise and Sensōji we decided to head to the Sky Tree as we wanted to visit the Solamachi mall.  On the way to the station there's an awesome view of the Sky Tree:

As we neared the station we met two kawaii mascots!

They were giving out free whole Daikon!?!

Then we jumped on a train to Solamachi:

Solamachi is a large mall full of shops selling clothes, accessories and more.  We checked out Punyus and the area full of shops selling all kinds of foods before returning to a small café we'd visited before that sells Toast Sets!

Just look how thick the bread is!! After eating we decided to head to Akihabara to do some otaku-style shopping!

Akihabara (known as Akiba) is Mr's favourite - it's full of game centers, maid cafés and shops selling every kind of anime, manga and game item you can think of!  The whole area is full of bright and colourful buildings trying to get your attention:

Mr indulged in Akiba - first up he got these cute keyrings featuring chibi versions of Date Masamune and Wang Yuanji!

He also picked up some supplies for the various Kawaii card games we play (like the Pokémon card game).  First up was this cute deck box featuring a cute mermaid!

Of course, you have to have sleeves for your cards - and Japanese sleeves are the best (according to Mr anyway!!), so he bought some to protect his decks:

From left to right these feature Harusame (from Kantai Collection), Megurine Luka the vocaloid and Super Sonico.  It was only when we were writing this post that he noticed they've all got pink hair. ^^

In one store we picked up a few Kawaii items, first was this Nendoroid Co-de figure of Manaka Lalaa from PriPara!

There are other figures from the series too - maybe we'll be lucky and get the others one day!

Then Pinkuiropixie chose a Kirby lace bracelet - these types of bracelets were everywhere in Tokyo!

Finally Pinkuiropixie picked up a Sailor Moon blind bag featuring lots of dresses from the show.  She got a Sailor Mercury outfit!

Of course, Akiba has lots of gachapon machines around (sometimes whole walls or shops full of them!) - we couldn't miss out on the fun!  First up we got these light-up Sailor Moon charms:

Finally, and still on a Sailor Moon theme - there was a collection of Sailor Moon charms, and the one featuring Luma and Artemis on a moon came with a chain bracelet to wear your collection on:

These charms are really Kawaii, the pinks (and the yellow moon) are translucent and catch the light giving a cute effect!

It's easy to check out a few places in one day in Tokyo as the transport links are so good - just do a little research before you head out so you can plan your routes to save time and make sure you see everything you want! ^^

Catch you later Kawaiisters!! ^^
